Take a long pause at the end of the summer with a quiet reading night. You can bring a favorite book to immerse yourself in, just to sit with us and enjoy some quiet company. Or you can bring an extra copy of a favorite to trade as part of a blind date with a book.

Anyone who wants to participate in the blind date with a book can bring a book they enjoy (but don't mind giving away), wrapped in plain paper and with a 1-2 sentence description on the front. We'll trade around and then unwrap.

Kids are welcome, if they will enjoy a quiet reading environment.

SUMMER OF FUN BADGES

This year, you can earn badges based off of the events that you attend. Earn 4 of the 6 different badges (Outdoorsy, Social Butterfly, Kid at Heart, Game Time, Skill Monkey, or Traveler) to earn your A10 Summer of Fun Adventurer badge! Your Summer of Fun leaders will have the available badges on hand the day of the event. (Limit one badge per person per event.)

Need something to stick your badges on? Purchase an A10 Water Bottle ($10) on Sunday mornings at the Byrd Theatre at the Next Steps table.

By attending this event you can earn your Social Butterfly OR Traveler badge! (Because introverts need a way to earn their social butterfly/traveler badges too.)
